In tanks and pools, every surface in contact with water or another liquid matters: the floor, walls, corners and service penetrations. We select the waterproofing system with regard to the structure, service conditions and the liquid it will contain.

The floor, walls and service penetrations.
Curved walls, level changes and multiple details require continuity of the coating to be planned. Spraying allows application to different surface shapes, but joint and penetration detailing must be selected before the main layer is applied.
This applies to both process tanks and swimming pool or pond basins. Each of these facilities requires its own assumptions: type of substrate, conditions of contact with water, cleaning method and finishing requirements. The material and arrangement of layers are selected according to the actual purpose of the basin.

The type of liquid matters.
Process water, wastewater and other liquids place different demands on materials. The medium’s composition, temperature, cleaning method and continuous or intermittent contact all matter. Chemical resistance is checked for the specific system and actual conditions.
Applications requiring special approvals - for example contact with drinking water - require appropriate documentation of the specific solution. The mere description of the material as polyurea is not such a confirmation.

Preparation before filling.
Before work begins, substrate preparation, priming, detailing and inspection methods are agreed. The time before the coating may contact liquid depends on system requirements and application conditions. Any watertightness test is agreed for the specific facility.

What information will help us discuss the work?
Send the location, photos of the interior and details, information about the construction material and the purpose of the tank. Describe the medium, expected operating temperature and any problems so far. If you have drawings or documentation of previous waterproofing, these will be helpful in determining next steps.
Can pipe penetrations be protected with a membrane?
Such places require a solution tailored to the installation material, structure and expected displacements. The mere act of spraying material onto a joint does not replace proper processing of the detail.
Is the same coating suitable for every liquid?
No. The compatibility of the material with the medium and working conditions must be checked in the manufacturer's documentation and in the assumptions of the specific system.
