Effective waterproofing covers both the main surface and every potential route for water ingress. System selection takes account of the substrate, existing layers, drains, parapets and service penetrations.

What do we check before choosing a system?
The substrate and existing waterproofing condition, the surface geometry and the drainage arrangement all matter. We also establish whether the surface will be accessed only for maintenance, used regularly or covered by additional layers. These conditions inform material and finish selection.

The polyurea membrane within the layer build-up.
The system starts with cleaning and preparing the substrate and selecting the primer. The polyurea membrane is sprayed after detailing connections to drains, flashings and elements projecting above the roof. Movement joints need a solution suited to the expected structural movement.
On an exposed roof, we determine the requirements for exposure to UV radiation and the finishing layer. Foot traffic, functional finish and the compatibility of the membrane with subsequent layers are also important on the terrace. The required resistance and method of project are confirmed by the documentation of the specific system.

Roof refurbishment and waterproofing beneath covering layers.
A leak may originate in a damaged coating, an incorrectly detailed junction or a problem beneath the existing layers. The repair scope therefore follows an assessment of the facility. Retaining existing waterproofing requires an evaluation of its condition, adhesion and compatibility with the planned system.
Green roof
The waterproofing of a green roof is selected together with the layers that will cover it. We determine the requirements for membrane protection, water drainage and root impact, as well as the method of detailing before covering the coating. The suitability of the material must be confirmed for the adopted roof system.

Will polyurea solve the problem of poorly drained water?
The coating does not replace efficient drainage or required geometry corrections. These elements must be taken into account when planning work.
Can waterproofing be applied at any time of year?
Application conditions must meet the requirements of the selected system. Planning the date takes into account temperature, humidity and the condition of the substrate.
